The International Sport Jujitsu Association® (ISJA) serves as an umbrella organization for
major jujitsu groups around the world. The ISJA is the international governing body for the
original Sport Jujitsu format. Its sole purpose is to promote the growth of the original Sport
Jujitsu format. The ISJA does not issue rank nor is it involved with the internal or political
affairs of its members. It is a non-profit organization and its main objectives are:
• To promote the growth of Sport Jujitsu in a positive manner, without losing touch with
the virtues of the martial art itself.
• To unite and promote solidarity among all martial art practitioners regardless of style.
• To ensure fair play and equal opportunity for all Sport Jujitsu players and organizations.
• To someday see Sport Jujitsu accepted as an official Olympic sport.
